  • What is Hospice?
    Hospice is a health care program and service designed to provide comfort and support to patients and their families when a life-limiting illness no longer responds to cure-oriented treatment.
  • Who is elligible for Hospice Care?
    We at Dignicare determine eligibility for our program through the following criteria. 1. Based on a clinical judgement of the patient's Primary Physician and Hospice Medical Director, patient has been certified to be terminally ill and has six (6) or less months to live. 2. Curative measures have ended and the focus is now on physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort. 3. Patient's Primary Physician must authorize hospice care.
  • Who pays for Hospice Services?
    When eligibility and criteria are met, hospice coverage is available through the following: - Medicare and Medi-Cal - Health insurance and HMO's - Private Pay
  • Where does Hospice Care take place?
    Our hospice care program is provided wherever the patient is residing (ie. Home, Skilled Nursing Facility, Assisted Living Center, Board and Care, etc.).
  • Does Dignicare Hospice Services LLC, offer a skilled nursing benefit?"
    Yes, we offer 4 levels of care to meet the individual needs of each patient. Each level is designed to accommodate the patient's acruity level and assist the family during a crisis. 1. Routine Care 2. Continuous Care 3. General Inpatient 4. Inpatient Respite
